Many serious diseases in the tropics and elsewhere are spread by insects. For prevention of these diseases such as yellow fever, dengue fever,Japanee encephalitis, malaria, West Nile disease, sleeping sickness, leishmania etc. personal protection measures against insects are of paramount importance and the first line of defense, as vaccination alone is not always 100% effective.

This option includes oral discussions and printed materials regarding:

  • Sleeping quarters and sprays for indoor use
  • Insect repellents for the skin with recommended prodcuts for children and adults.
