IMPORTANT
Certain vaccinations are officially required for entry into certain countries. Be certain to receive them in advance.

Also known as German Measles is a viral disease characterized by mild fever, enlarged lymph nodes and a fine pink rash that appears on the face, trunk, arms and legs. In itself, rubella is a mild infection. However, if a woman is pregnant when she contracts rubella, the con- sequences for her unborn child may be severe (deafness, congenital heart defects, etc.) Live weakened (attenuated) vaccine is usually given in combination with measles and mumps vaccines (M.M.R.) If an adult woman is given the vaccine, she must practice birth control for at least 3 months after vaccination.
