Motion Sickness
Children are the most prone to motion sickness which occurs more often in cars or buses than on planes, trains and large bots. Infants usually do not get motion sickness and older children may outgrow it by age 5. Symptoms include nausea, vomitin, loss of color and cold sweats. To avoid motion sickness:
- Do not offer food in transit if possible. If you must, choose easily digestible foods such as a roll, uice or canned fruit.
- Discourage reading or coloring while in motion.
- If the child is prone to motion sickness, ask your physician about appropriate preventive medications.
